Public Comment Needed – Riverside Bridge added to Transportation Plan 2040

The public is invited to comment on the addition of the Riverside Bridge on Riverside Road in Ozark to Transportation Plan 2040, the region’s long range transportation plan. The Riverside Bridge is currently closed due to damage caused by flooding.  A new bridge is needed to restore an essential connection for the Ozark community. The project is estimated to cost $3 million and will include bicycle and pedestrian accommodations. Details can be found at

Transportation Plan 2040 is the long range transportation plan for the region and proposes a list of projects which can be afforded through 2040. Projects moved to construction in the Transportation Improvement Program must first appear in Transportation Plan 2040.

The public comment period will continue until April 20, 2017.  After reviewing recommendations and public comments, the OTO Board of Directors will decide whether to formally adopt the amendment at its regularly scheduled meeting on April 20, 2017, at noon, at 2208 W. Chesterfield Boulevard, Suite 101, Springfield, MO.
