One new project and two adjustments to current projects have been proposed to the Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP), which includes plans and programs OTO will undertake during the fiscal year.
The OTO is proposing Amendment One to the FY 2018 UPWP to include:
- Scoping Study for I-44 and US 60. The study is necessary to determine the physical condition and capacity of the roadway and predicted volumes based on growth resulting in the development of solutions for upcoming fiscal years. The total estimated cost is $300,000 to be shared with MoDot. The total cost for OTO will not exceed $100,000.
- Addition of $20,000 to the Regional Trail Study due to costs incurred last fiscal year that were not paid until the current fiscal year. Total cost of this study has not changed.
- Increase to the MoDOT Transportation Studies and Data Collection from $91,679 to $150,000. This increase is due to a more accurate reflection of actual costs reimbursed during the previous fiscal year.
The public comment period will begin on October 4 and end on October 18, 2017. After reviewing recommendations and public comments, the OTO Board of Directors will decide whether to formally adopt the amendment at its regularly scheduled meeting on October 19, 2017, at noon, at 2208 W. Chesterfield Boulevard, Suite 101, Springfield, MO.
The Amendment will be available for review at the Ozarks Transportation Organization offices and at ozarkstransportation.org.
