PUBLIC COMMENT NEEDED – 2017 TRANSIT COORDINATION PLAN
The Ozarks Transportation Organization (OTO) announces a public comment period for the public to review and comment on the Transit Coordination Plan (TCP). The TCP satisfies the coordinated planning requirements of the Sections 5310 Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program.
Key elements included in the TCP are:
An assessment of transportation needs for individuals with disabilities and seniors;
- An inventory of available services that identifies gaps in services;
- Strategies to address the identified gaps in services;
- Identification of coordination actions to eliminate or reduce duplication in services and strategies for more efficient utilization of resources; and,
- Prioritization of implementation strategies.
The TCP will be available for review at the Ozarks Transportation Organization, 2208 W Chesterfield Blvd., Suite 101 or at www.giveusyourinput.org. Comments may be submitted in writing to the Ozarks Transportation Organization, 2208 W Chesterfield Blvd., Suite 101, Springfield, MO 65807; via email to Comment@ozarkstransportation.org.
The public comment period will begin on March 20, 2017 and end on April 19, 2017. The OTO Board of Directors will review and possibly adopt the TCP at its April 20, 2017 meeting, held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the OTO conference room at 2208 W Chesterfield Blvd, Suite 101. An opportunity for public comment will be available at this meeting. After reviewing recommendations and entertaining public comment, the OTO Board of Directors will decide whether to formally adopt the plan.
