About Us

Ozarks Transportation Organization (OTO) brings together local communities to help prioritize transportation funding needs.

Examples of transportation needs include:

  • state highways
  • local roads
  • freight transportation
  • aviation
  • trails and bike paths
  • sidewalks
  • ADA access

As the area’s federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), OTO creates and maintains a regional transportation plan that includes project selection processes.

OTO’s Board of Directors includes local elected and appointed officials from Christian and Greene Counties as well as the cities of Battlefield, Nixa, Ozark, Republic, Springfield, Strafford, and Willard, plus staff from the Missouri Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration and; Federal Transit Administration.
